Rancho Grande belongs to the municipality of Esquías, on the northeastern part of the department of Comayagua. Located 134 km from the capital city, Rancho Grande has a population of approximately 2,011 with approximately 4 people per household. The economic activity of the Rancho Grande revolves around coffee-growing, a major generator for employment in the community. The library in Rancho Grande was inaugurated on July 21, 2006.
