Santa Cruz de Yojoa is located in a plateau, in the southern part of the department of Cortés. A great part of the Sula Valley belongs to this municipality. At 198 km from the capital city, this community is very close to Lake Yojoa and is surrounded by very fertile land. It has a territorial extension of 725.6 km². The library in Santa Cruz de Yojoa was inaugurated on July 17, 2006.
