Morolica is located in the southern part of the republic of Honduras, in the banks of the Choluteca River near the Texiguat confluence, 136 km from the capital city. The town’s name means ‘Water of the Sparrows’. It has a territorial extension of 271.7 km² and an approximate population of 5,044. Morolica’s library was inaugurated on December 6, 2005.
