Llano de la Virgen, Intibucá

Llano de la Virgen has a population of 2,600, many of whom are descendants of the Lenca ethnic group. It is part of the city of Intibucá, and is located approximately 150 km northwest of Tegucigalpa. The Riecken Foundation initiated the project on July 22, 2004, and the Biblioteca Comunal Llano de la Virgen, located in the center of town next to the school, was inaugurated on March 5, 2005.
