Zacualpa, El Quiché

Zacualpa is located 205 km from the capital in the region of Quiché. The inhabitants are primarily dedicated to producing corn, fruits such as lemons, oranges, and jocotes, and colorful textiles characteristic of the region. The municipality has an urban population of 5,000 and a rural population of 14,000. The project was initiated on July 28, 2003 and the library La Llave Mágica de la Mente (The Magic Key to the Mind) was inaugurated on February 27, 2004.
